ADAS Systems.... Going to Take Some Getting Used To!

Happy Technical Tuesday Folks!

Just a quick note to announce the official naming of Sara's new 2019 CR-V.  She picked it up last month & so far, is loving every inch of it.  He has been dubbed: Troopah, 19 of 4.  You'll have to ask her what that means next time you're in, or, you are welcome to shoot her an email, if you're curious.

Sara's still getting used to all the bells and whistles, but so far loves all the cool updated features - even the ones she's not quite sure she is ready to use regularly.  Like how, if you allow it, the combination of Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Mitigation, will get you pretty close to riding in a 'self driving car'.  Her exact words when describing it to Greg were "This is so freaking weird dude, I can't even!".

ADAS or "Advanced Driver-Assist Systems" are becoming more and more prevalent in today's automotive industry.  As time passes, and these new systems become standard across the brands drivers and technicians alike are going to have to adjust (and get comfortable with), allowing the vehicle to do more and more without our input.  It is going to take a bit of getting used to, that's for sure.

Keep your eyes peeled for a video review of the 2019 CR-V on our Facebook page, coming soon!
